over! The Airport Marina Group of the Sierra Club Angeles Chapter is
working to put the remaining parts of the Ballona ecosystem not yet acquired
by the State into public ownership. |

The Ballona Bluff coalition is in litigation against the developer, is looking for acquisition funds and is organizing the community so we may save this area.

home development by the Catellus Development Corporation. Despite
opposition by conservationists, scientists, Native Americans, anthropologists
and the surrounding community, Catellus hasn't swayed from its destruction
of the bluffs. In fact, Catellus' response to the public outcry has been
to speed up the destruction.
