Griffith Park Section

The Griffith Park Section seeks to preserve and protect the natural ecology of Griffith Park, helping to assure its continuance as an open area always accessible to the public. The Section leads evening and weekend hikes to increase awareness by the public of the beauty and needs of Griffith Park. The Section also schedules regular cleanup events and other volunteer activities as a public service.

Membership: Open to any individual or couple of the Sierra Club who subscribes to our quarterly newsletter. Your subscriptions will help us continue to be able to hold hikes which are free and open to the public. Send a legal-sized SASE to the Section Treasurer for a free copy so you can see what we do.

Material for publication: announcements, articles, biographical sketches, blurbs, business card advertising ($15), comments, compliments, criticisms, drawings, errata, event notices (through four months from now and beyond), experiences, favorite hikes, feedback, inspiration, humor, letters to the editor, movie reviews, observations, photos, poetry, recipes, restaurant reviews, stories, tips, web links, weird experiences, etc.
