Port Electrification Committee (Los Angeles)

This is the tentative date and time for the next Port Electrification Committee meeting. The committee is exploring the complete electrifiation of goods movement equipment and infrastructure on land, including ships that are docked in the port and rail lines from San Pedro Bay to the Inland Valleys. In the first meeting of this committee held in March, Port of Los Angeles Harbor Commission President S. David Freeman announced ambitious plans to electrify port operations using renewable energy sources such as solar and geothermal.

We are encouraging everyone who supports switching to an all electrfic and renewable power for the ports to attend this meeting in a show of support for the project. Details to follow as soon as the meeting time is confirmed.
