K-9 Hiking Committee
The K-9 Committee explores and enjoys the trails and
remote areas of the great outdoors with our canine friends
and promotes responsible dog-ownership and behavior in the
pursuit of these goals.
Membership:
To receive our newsletter, Waggin Trails, and to
cover costs of operating expenses, send a donation of $8
(payable to K-9 Committee) and 1 sase to:

Trip Requirements:
Each participant is required to carry a 6' leash, ample
water and bowl for each dog participant. Leaders will screen
all canine participants for experience and ability. Leaders
and participants will comply with regulations on public and
private property, Angeles Chapter Safety Policy and K-9
Committee Outings Policy, and as specified by the leader of
the outing. All K-9 owners should carry dog first aid (gauze
pads/roll, ace bandage, waterproof tape) and be prepared to
transport dogs in case of emergency.
Trip Options:
There will be 2 types of K-9 outings, those with leashes
mandatory at all times, and those with dogs off leashes as
appropriate. Contact leader for trip information.
Other Participants:
Participants who do not have dogs are welcome on K-9
outings if they have patience and understanding toward our
K-9 friends. They must be aware that a number of dogs may be
on the outing and that the dogs may be unleashed during the
outing.
