Work Party ProjectsWork Parties
We have work party events three times a year in April, June and October. Work parties are a lot of fun and provide an opportunity to help preserve a piece of Sierra Club history. For a small fee our expert cooks provide all the meals during the weekend. No special skills are required and all volunteers are welcome.
Work Party ProjectsWe have several on-going special projects:
Replacement of windows in Main and Dining Room. This special project is almost complete thanks to the generous donations from Angeles Chapter Sections and Groups. A brass plaque will be placed on the window to acknowledge each $500 donation. Five window donations were made in memory of past Sierra Club members.
Painting and paneling of stairwells. This project is almost complete as well.
Painting Lodge exterior was completed in Summer '04 thanks to Sierra Club member who is a painting contractor.
We also have several future projects that we'll start once the on-going projects are complete:
Remodel kitchen - this is expected to start sometime in 2005
Replace windows and sinks in women's restroom
Upgrade heating system in Main Room
Remodel family rooms
