| WEST AFRICA WITH GREG SCARICH AND LOUISA BONNIE
| | Monthly Meeting: West Africa (Guinea, Senegal, Mali). Photographs and video of Sierra Club members, Greg Scarich and Louisa Bonnie's ten-week trip by foot, bicycle, bush taxi, and bus. Scenic sites and culture from some of the poorest countries, but with the friendliest people from the Fouta Djalon highlands to the Niger River. Only 180 years after the first European reached and returned alive from Timbuktu, Louisa and Greg return to the city which is still the starting and ending point of the 43-day salt-carrying camel caravans. Social hour & program $3 donation. Meet 6:30 PM at the Costa Mesa Neighborhood Community Center, 1845 Park Ave., Costa Mesa.
