Thu Moderate Hikers/Summer Schedule?Secret Trail to Calabasas Peak

Moderately paced 5-7 mi (depending on weather), 1000' gain hike. Meet 7:30 am at Secret trailhead in Calabasas (from 101 Ventura Fwy take Valley Cir/Mulholland Dr exit S, turn R on Valmar Rd [becomes Old Topanga Cyn Rd], then R on Mulholland Hwy, continuing 2+ mi to dirt parking area on the L). Bring plenty of water, snacks, lugsoles, hat, sunscreen. Rain cancels.

Easy, moderate and tiger paced hikes, 4-7 mi rt on trail in hills. Meet 6:30 pm every Tue and Thu (take 405 Fwy, exit S on Jeffrey/University, L at Ridgeline, L at Turtle Rock, pass Sunnyhill, L into parking lot of Turtle Rock Community Park). Bring water, light hiking boots with lugs, flashlight.

Not for beginners. Arrive early. Leave 6:30 pm every Thu from parking lot near Rite Aid Drugs at Hawthorne & Silver Spur. Wear lugsoles. Bring red lens flashlight. Rain cancels.
