Welcome to the Santa Ana
Mountains Task force. The Santa Ana Mountains in South Orange County,
California, is
one of the 18 most threatened wilderness areas in the world. This wilderness is
known as the Cleveland National Forest, which holds a great diversity of
wildlife and natural values. We are dedicated to protecting those values. You
can read the reason we exist on the "backgrounds" page, see photos of
this area on the "photos" page, and find other like minded groups,
hiking info and more on the "links" page. We plan to update this site
regularly. Currently, the
biggest threat facing our Santa Ana Mountains is an ill-advised
project called LEAPS.
