Trail Maintenance
Santa Ana Mtn Task Force volunteers, both male and female, clear brush and keep trails repaired in the San Mateo Wilderness on monthly outings, on the first Saturday, October through June. Once or twice a year the outing is an overnight backpack. Newcomers are always welcome but should contact the leaders in advance to be added to the SAMTF/Forest Service volunteer list. Tools and instructions are provided. Bring water, lunch, sturdy shoes, and work gloves. The outing will be cancelled in the event of serious rain or if an extreme fire danger exists. Specific monthly projects will be listed here one to two months prior to the event. Email notices are sent to those currently on the volunteer contact list.
